    Bio

Hi! My name is Amy Walsh. I am a fun-loving, adventurous soul who loves nothing more than being outside and rolling out my yoga mat.

Fitness is a passion of mine and that is why I chose a career as a Physical Education teacher and a yoga instructor.

My playful and creative teaching style embodies all the tools I have learned over the years and my goal is to simply share them with others and have fun.

My education has been quite a journey. I started at Bergen Community College in 1999, earning my Associates in Exercise Science. From there I transferred to Montclair State University in 2000 and received my bachelors in Physical Education and Health. I was hired right out of college in 2003 and started living my dream as a teacher. In 2010, I went back to school for my Masters in Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment. After many years of being a student/teacher I still wanted to learn more but this time on a different path. My daily practice of yoga led me to Yoga Synthesis where I got my certification in Children and Teen Yoga in 2015. Through all of this I learned that you should always follow your heart and do everything you possible can to make your dreams come true.

When I am not teaching you will find me on a hiking trail, paddle boarding, fishing, running a 5k, exploring a National Park, and/or rock climbing.
