6th Grade Class Trip Information

Forms indicating interest in chaperoning were distributed yesterday (1/6) in your child's Social Studies class.  The form is also located here.

It’s that time! The annual sixth grade trip to the New Jersey School of Conservation (three days/two nights) is scheduled for Wednesday, May13, 2020 to Friday, May 15, 2020. We are looking for parents to accompany us as chaperones. Please be prepared for sleepless nights but a time to remember!

If you are interested, please fill out the lower part of this letter.  Preference will be given to those parents who can attend on all three days and both nights. Please have your child return the lower part of this form as soon possible to Mrs. O’Donnell.  Please note: emails and phone calls will not be accepted. Interested parents must complete the form below and have your child return it to Mrs. O’Donnell in Room 20 by Friday, January 17th.

Please note that parents who are selected will have to go through a criminal history/fingerprinting process as required by law. Any costs involved will be reimbursed by the Board of Education.

Thank you so much to all of the parents volunteering to chaperone!

Emails regarding parents approved to chaperone will be sent out in late January and names submitted to the Board of Education. Once approved by the Board, information on fingerprinting will be mailed home to chaperones. It is strongly suggested that, if you have been approved as a chaperone, you begin the fingerprinting process as soon as you receive the paperwork.

While the cost of this year's trip is not yet determined, the cost of the 2019 trip was $280. per student.

Forms for those parents interested in being chaperones will be distributed to students in late November. Parents interested in chaperoning must have had their child return the form to Mrs. O'Donnell in school. Emails and phone calls expressing interest in chaperoning will not be accepted. Preference will be given to those parents able to stay all 3 days and both nights.
