•  Dear Parents,

My name Michelle Wesley, and I am pleased to take this opportunity to introduce myself, and welcome your child to my math class. This is my fifth year teaching mathematics, and I am extremely excited to begin working in the Norwood School District!

It is my belief that a good learning experience is built on a cooperative effort among parent, child and teachers. You as the parent play a major role in helping your child reach the maximum of his or her potential. By working together, I believe we can help your child become the best person possible- socially, emotionally and scholastically.

In our class, students can expect to take the lead on their learning; using discovery based learning to uncover new concepts, and using technology to practice the skills as much as possible. We will use data to track our success along the way, while maintaining a growth mindset to ensure a positive learning environment for everyone.

My classroom management style is one of building relationships with my students to ensure a solid level of trust and understanding, which is necessary to build a culture that inspires and supports all students. I am excited to get to know each student, ensure a smooth transition, and continue with rigorous instruction.

Students should expect homework every school-night. Updates on the classroom, as well as homework can be found on this website.

I am excited about working with you for the remainder of this year as we help your child experience all the joys of learning. I stand ready to assist you in any way I can, so please feel free to get in touch with me at any time.

    Regards,
    Mrs. Michelle Wesley
