    Classroom Policies

The following is a list of my classroom policies to help your child succeed this year.

Notebook - Everyday there is a topic heading so that everybody understands what our goal is for the day.  A good notebook is essential for studying and for helping your child understand how to do the homework.

Homework - Homework is given every night.  It is the time to practice and reinforce what was learned.  Each student is required to keep all homework assignments in their notebook. The notebook will be collected each marking period.  If there is a problem, your child should copy the example, do as much of it as they can and then leave space on their paper so that they can correct the problem in class.

Tests/Quizzes - Your child should study for the tests and quizzes by doing practice examples from the appropriate topics.  Your child is required to have all tests and quizzes along with the test corrections signed.

Assessment - Three forms of assessment will be used.

                   1.  Tests/Quizzes/Collected Homework -
                   2.  Homework/Notebook -
                   3.  Projects -

THINGS YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR CHILD

    - Encourage your child to ask for extra help when he or she is having a problem.  I am available for extra help.

    - When your child is absent, encourage them to get the work and the homework assignment from a classmate.  If they are very sick, remind them that there will be time to make up the work that they have missed through extra help.

-Please keep me informed of any situation that might affect your child's work.
